The Pound-Wise Bookkeeping & Typing Service was founded in 1991 after I was made redundant from my position as an accounting technician.   Initially, as the title suggests, it was a manual bookkeeping service, I also typed invoices and letters for small business clients. 

The business is now fully computerised and the name has been shortened to "Pound-Wise Bookkeeping Service".   I am able to provide complete accounts for small and  medium-sized sole proprietors and partnerships  which includes filing     Self-Assessment tax returns on-line; for companies with limited status I produce accounts to Trial Balance ready for audit by the client’s  accountant if this is a legal requirement, I am also able to submit Corporation Tax Returns. 

Most people who are VAT registered will have to start submitting their returns on-line.   As an HMRC approved agent, I am able to undertake this task for you.   In addition to this, I can also attend to PAYE and CIS.
